The Business Of God’s Purpose For Life 👩‍💻

One of the definitions of the word business other than transaction that most convey the perspective of this write up which by the grace of God is Inspired from Matthew 16:21-26 is simply a role or function according to the Webster dictionary. Purpose on the other hand as it concerns God’s dealing with Man, Is God’s ordained system based on his eternal Interests and Agenda for the organization of life in time.
So emphatically, the title of this write up is: The Function And Transaction Of God’s Interests and Agenda For Life.

Matthew 16:23-27 KJV
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. [24] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. [25] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. [26] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? [27] For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Life is a continous System of ongoing transactions, we are constantly expending one value for the for the worth of another. Transaction we mean, by it’s most basic definition is simply exchange of value.
However the most literal and primary basis by which we understand transaction is executed in the earth realm, is the exchange of time and energy for the price of any sense of value. In which case many of us are guilty of squander and wastage, this is because we are expending so much for the profit of less or nothing.

Notwithstanding one of the main focus of Matthew 16:21-27 is the way Jesus in verse 26 related the subject of Man’s operation
of life from a unique business perspective saying;
“Of What profit is it for man if he gains everything the world has to offer at the expense of his soul or what can a Man offer that is worth the exchange of his soul” [added emphasis by me].
At the utmost everything we by our desire validate as worthy of our pursuit must be able to translate and bear weight in eternity favourably for our good or it will have serious consequences to our hurt and detriment; the reason is because every man is born for God’s purpose first and foremost, of which case he will surely be accountable of before God one day.  The bible says God will judge everything done in the body [Matthew 16:27, 2 Cor 5:10].    In order to Understand where Jesus was coming from with verse 26, we have to begin from verse 21 where Jesus started revealing to his disciples about his agenda and the great deal of suffering he would have to endure as his unique purpose for being born mandates.

So peter being overzealous and emotional gave the devil voice in trying to dissuade Jesus, however Jesus Christ in a sharp rebuke resisted the devil and opened with saying “Go Away From Me Satan: You are not mindful [concerned] about the affairs of God, but that of Men” [Matthew 16:23]. And then in verse 24, in emphasis Jesus says If any man will come after me, let him first of all settle to submit his will, bear the burdens that goes with that decision and then follow him.  The devil is a cheater, and the worst choice for a business partner; since he is evil and doesn’t deal in truth but falsely nor is he concerned with the interests of God. What he offers man as a worth in exchange  for his soul is always fleeting and spurious, that is to say; unreliable,  substandard or counterfeit.
It’s like purchasing the fake version of something real at the same rate you would the real one, that’s fraud and a bad business. So Jesus is saying in verse 26b what can a mortal man offer you here in time that is worth the cost of your eternity security? 🤷🏾‍♂️ That’s why the first question Jesus asked was, what is your profit if after you gain the whole world but you are still at fatal loss 🤷🏾‍♂️. And in verse 27 it reveals that the lord will reward every man’s work, so if you used your life time and potential to pursue things that have no eternal value you are at a serious loss because the world is temporary and so is everything it can give, but the soul is eternal. do you still have to rethink deciding to give your life to Christ and living for God today, Think 🤔 about it and give your life to Jesus Christ today.
